If you were expecting KG-a 3, you’ll be disappointed. KIDDY GiRL-AND 3 is delayed due to our translator’s busy schedule. Also, we love delays so it’s not really bothering us. =)

On to Sasameki Koto!

There are two things we’d like to point out before you guys watch it.

One:

We retained “yuri” because it’s a widely known genre in anime and manga and based on the context given on this scene, we have to use the word yuri. Lesbianism doesn’t quite cut it and our “lily-scented world” alternative isn’t helping either. For those who are new to the word, Yuri means a genre in anime and manga which involves a pair or a group of girls fu- click HERE or HERE to learn more.

Two:

Ushio said “Red string of fate” and we translated it as “The girl… I’m destined for…” We did this to avoid confusion to people who doesn’t know what the phrase means and by doing this, we also avoided adding a stupid eye distracting TL note like THIS. What is this red string of fate? According to this myth, the gods tie an invisible red string around the ankles of men and women who are destined to be soul mates and will one day marry each other. There are multiple variants of this myth and the popular version used in Japan is the string is tied on their little fingers (see their hand gestures). To learn more, click HERE.

Our second project this Fall and our first Sci-Fi anime!

Before anything else, I am proud to introduce to you our newly recruited Quality Checkers: Sozin and countbeavertron! They are the ones who gave the best of their skills and helped us speed up and improve Sasameki Koto and KIDDY GiRL-AND. Quite frankly, if it weren’t for them, our releases would have been released a week later. If you noticed that our releases are a bit better, don’t thank just us, thank these two!

Here it is, folks, our first Fall 2009 project! I know, I know, we’re two weeks late but at this point, we really don’t care. However, we’ll try to dish out one episode per week. Why are we doing this? Because we want to!

Sasameki Koto or Whispered Words is a yuri manga series by Takashi Ikeda. The story, mainly set in a co-ed school, revolves around Sumika Murasame, a 15 year-old girl who is secretly in love with her female best friend, Ushio Kazama. Ushio likes girls too, but she’s only into cute girls, while Sumika is tall, good at sports and she has a cool personality. – wiki

To put it bluntly, it’s a yuri show with very good characters. =)

There are some things you need to know before you start playing. Staying true to our policy, our subtitles does not contain any form of honorifics or any gratuitous Japanese  and the MKV release is practically 100% softsubbed. We  also need to remind you that our OP and ED karaoke are softsubbed and very CPU extensive. If you have a single core machine, we suggest you switch to our second subtitle track. Second track contains simplified karaoke so it’s easy on your machine. Got a quad? No problem!

Don’t be discourage by the silly title, if you watched the first series, you’ll know what to expect on KG-a. We’re not sure if you need to watch the first series in order to understand KG-a, just to be on the safe side, I suggest you watch the first series.

Before anyone starts bitching (pardon my language) about us fansubbing a certain yuri show and ignored other shows that are most likely won’t get subs, we don’t care and why should you care? Seriously, they’re telling us what to do? Who are you? yOur-Mom? We planned on fansubbing this MONTHS ago and there’s no way you’re stopping us.

However, we took pity on this and we actually picked another show to sub. I gave our translator, aero, 3 titles to choose from namely Kobato, Kiddy Girl-and and Yumeiro Pâtissière and try to guess what he picked. Surprise, surprise, our second project this Fall 2009 is Kiddy Girl-and!

In order for the Kiddy Girl-and Project to start moving, we need more manpower! SHiN-gx Fansubs is looking for a Translation Checker and Quality Checker! Our TL needs a checker to correct his script from errors and another dedicated QC’er to keep the grammar, punctuation, etc. in check. Our editors do the correcting and the QC’er for added insurance. He will also do the final checking for the Juuden-chan DVD version. Our current QC’er is busy and capable of checking one show per week. So with that, I’m assigning him to QC Sasameki Koto.

REQUIREMENTS:
Translation Checker
- Knows Japanese in audio and text
- Has experience in TLC and is
- Dedicated!

Quality Checker
- Good at English
- Good at spotting errors.
- With high vocabulary is a must!
- Has experience and
