IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Point of interest: the seiyuu for Aki and Sora appear to have changed since the time this PV came out. In the video they’re listed as Eri Kitamura for Aki and Asami Imai for Sora, but official sites now list Shiho Kawaragi and Sayaka Kinoshita respectively.
• There are some playback issues for MAC users and the cause of this is the usage of a mild blur effect. It plays completely fine on Windows and to those who uses MACs, please see our How to Play Anime page for a solution.

Surprise, surprise, here’s another release by yours truly! It’s not actually a SHiN-gx release but rather the combined effort of Mamiko and SHiN-gx Fansubs! If you’re wondering why Mamiko was interested in this special is because… uh… I dunno. Probably because Ayako Kawasumi and Mamiko Noto are ga-*ahem* have a good long history and uh… never mind. =.=

Anyways,  to those who are new to this anime, Tadaima Okaeri is a side story of Mahoromatic: Something More Beautiful and you need to watch Mahoromatic: Automatic Maiden to know the basic story and know the characters better. This special will work as a standalone but still, we urge you to watch the TV series first.

The MKV version contains two subtitle tracks: The first track or the default track contains no honorifics and the second subtitle track will contain the honorifics. If you’re feeling uneasy with the absence of the honorifics, simply switch to the second track. Unfortunately, the AVI version will contain the no honorifics subtitles and we will not release two AVIs. And… “OH MY GOD! 350+ MB for a 25 minute episode?! Are you kidding me?!” We’re not kidding and we love to think big, literally. =)

On to Sasameki Koto!

There are two things we’d like to point out before you guys watch it.

One:

We retained “yuri” because it’s a widely known genre in anime and manga and based on the context given on this scene, we have to use the word yuri. Lesbianism doesn’t quite cut it and our “lily-scented world” alternative isn’t helping either. For those who are new to the word, Yuri means a genre in anime and manga which involves a pair or a group of girls fu- click HERE or HERE to learn more.

Two:

Ushio said “Red string of fate” and we translated it as “The girl… I’m destined for…” We did this to avoid confusion to people who doesn’t know what the phrase means and by doing this, we also avoided adding a stupid eye distracting TL note like THIS. What is this red string of fate? According to this myth, the gods tie an invisible red string around the ankles of men and women who are destined to be soul mates and will one day marry each other. There are multiple variants of this myth and the popular version used in Japan is the string is tied on their little fingers (see their hand gestures). To learn more, click HERE.

Here it is, folks, our first Fall 2009 project! I know, I know, we’re two weeks late but at this point, we really don’t care. However, we’ll try to dish out one episode per week. Why are we doing this? Because we want to!

Sasameki Koto or Whispered Words is a yuri manga series by Takashi Ikeda. The story, mainly set in a co-ed school, revolves around Sumika Murasame, a 15 year-old girl who is secretly in love with her female best friend, Ushio Kazama. Ushio likes girls too, but she’s only into cute girls, while Sumika is tall, good at sports and she has a cool personality. – wiki

To put it bluntly, it’s a yuri show with very good characters. =)

There are some things you need to know before you start playing. Staying true to our policy, our subtitles does not contain any form of honorifics or any gratuitous Japanese  and the MKV release is practically 100% softsubbed. We  also need to remind you that our OP and ED karaoke are softsubbed and very CPU extensive. If you have a single core machine, we suggest you switch to our second subtitle track. Second track contains simplified karaoke so it’s easy on your machine. Got a quad? No problem!
