  3. finally…1080p VIVA! 😀

  4. I had noticed I stopped liking your subs. Then I read your translation policy. I will never play an episode of K-ON that has removed the honorifics and changes

Ritsu’s nickname from Ricchan to Ritz. RITZ??? UGH! So, you can’t call Azusa “Azu-nyan”. Soooo… what? “Azu-meow”? Heck, why call it K-ON! at all? That’s ‘gratuitous Japanese’ there. Re-name the show Light Music.

Well, congratulations on being yet another group that prefers to dumb-down everything for the poor Americans to assimilate. Your policies encourage attitudes like the following I received about English dubs…

[“most dubs are as good, and sometimes better(???) than the original”] HUH???

That is, without doubt, one of the most ignorant comments I have ever heard. It borders on hubris.

But, this seems to be the attitude of the majority of American anime fans. If they hate on Japan so much, then why do they even LIKE anime in the first place.

  5. @stealthmomo:

Haven’t we met you before? AXN forums, perhaps, or one of its sister channels, Animax? I’m sorry, it’s just “stealthmomo” is kinda familiar.

Anyway, judging from your comment (Azu-meow), I’ll be nice – it’s very rude to criticize at something you haven’t seen yet. I changed Ritcchan to Ritz because it sound something like Yui would call someone endearingly, just like how she addresses Azusa as Azu-nyan. Plus, it’s a nickname and we know (you should know) that nicknaming doesn’t follow any strict rule. I can call you whatever I want. “Momoski van Sieg,” “Momommy,” etc. It applies here. Still don’t like it? We know people like you hates removing their sacred honorifics (while blatantly ignoring Japan only nuances being left out by 100% of the fansubbers) so we provided a second subtitle track with them intact. A simple hit with a key and you’re done. And don’t tell us we didn’t inform you of the existence of a second subtitle track. We explicitly stated the releases comes with two subtitles.

Oh wow. You don’t know how English works and you’re the ignorant one. I won’t explain it to you. I met lots of people like you and whatever I say is totally ignored. I’m tired of repeating the same crap like a broken LP record.

Wait, what? I’m sorry, this has got to be the most stupidest comment I ever encountered. Either you are gravely misinformed, delusional or is entirely succumbed to the “Japan is holy” hivemind. In shorter term, you’re a weeaboo of the highest degree. Don’t like our subs? There’s the door. It’s open.

    P.S.

Majority of us aren’t even Americans. Sori, bai. Ikaw ang gago.
