Episode 4 finally proved my suspicion that Kyouko is genuinely bullying Akari. Kyouko is competing against Akari for the main character spot. Notice how she periodically teases Akari at every episode. Kyouko is trying to get rid of the competition.  Wow. This is very serious stuff here, folks!

Episode 03 is dedicated for the two supporting characters — Sakurako and Himawari. They barely had any significant screen time back in season 1 and this episode fixes all that! Episode 03 has everything from comedy, drama, romance, tragedy, to uh… more cute girls doing cute… things…

Yuru Yuri S2 Episode 02 is OUT!!!

Wow. We actually did it! We set out to release episode 02 within three days and guess what? WE DID! This is the first time we released an episode at this speed without compromising anything. So yeah. Good job, ladies and gentlemen!

More antics from the members of the Amusement Club and episode 02 featured more of the supporting characters! Episode 02 is not as crazy as episode 01, but episode 02 shines brighter because it has more chapters to show. Unfortunately the big sisters are still absent. They will arrive eventually! Oh and hand-gargling.

Yuru Yuri S2 Episode 01 is OUT!!!

Plot twist already?!

Sorry for the big delay, folks! Things got a bit hectic this past few days because it was a holiday and polishing the script took a while. It’s just temporary I assure you. We’ll get our act together next week and we will be faster this time!

Imagine that… Yuru Yuri got a second season and after seeing episode 01, it’s definitely going to be bigger than season 1! Will the second season finally going to introduce the rest of the cast? Will Akari make a comeback (whoever she is)? Will the new season be more gay than season 1? Tune in and find out!

TRANSLATOR NOTES:

17:22 – Kyouko was making a pun on shijimi, a type of clam in Japanese cuisine and sunanuki, meaning de-sand.

17:33 – Kyouko was making a pun of the place Arima Onsen. It’s an onsen in Kita-ku, Kobe, Japan. This Onsen is still a hidden treasure of modern Kobe, behind Mount Rokko. It attracts many Japanese who want tranquility with beautiful natural surroundings and yet easy access from the busy cities in the Kansai metropolitan area including Osaka.

19:36 – Zettai ryouiki or Absolute Territory is the space between the top of the stockings and the bottom of the skirt. There are multiple levels of zettai ryouiki, all given different grades.

TECHNICAL STUFF:

The MKV version of this release will feature two subtitle tracks similar to our Zero no Tsukaima F releases. If honorifics is your thing, switch to the second track. Yuri-themed Music Video Ideas

Oh, don’t mind me. I’m just, you know, not keeping the blog dead. Also I want to say to the folks who are following us — We’re not a strictly yuri-only group. We sub non-yuri shows, but we specialize in yuri… Not much of a difference… Anyways!

I got an MP3 player last Christmas and I loaded up MP3s from Garbage and some anime OSTs. Oh yeah, aside from the Vision of Escaflowne OST, I also love the El Cazador de la Bruja OST. I mainly listen to Garbage songs and during my free time, I tend to visualize the songs I’m listening. There’s two Garbage songs that caught my attention and they’re perfect for yuri-related scenarios. Since I can’t animate my own video, I’ll just say what the stories are like.

Yuru Yuri S2 – Teaser

Here’s a quick teaser for the upcoming Yuru Yuri S2 anime. Yep, it’s looking good!

The title of the song is Gorakubu, Ai to Yuuki to Kibou to Yuujou no Theme from the Yuru Yuri no Uta Album Aikawarazu.

As expected from us, we picked up Yuru Yuri because it’s a kind of show we obviously love. The show features quirky characters, a very decent art direction, some good humor, and best of all the yuri subtext. If you’re into slice of life shows about cute girls doing cute subtext-y things, Yuru Yuri is the right 12-episode drug for you. Go watch it!

We made some unpopular decisions along the way like zero honorifics, typesetting, and the most notorious — translating “Yuru Yuri” to “Sway ‘n Shake”. We will not change the title and we’ll carry it over to our Yuru Yuri season 2 project. The good news is we’re going to put two subtitle versions similar to Zero no Tsukaima F. If you have some suggestions for our upcoming Yuru Yuri project, please leave as a comment.

That’s it. We’re done. We’ve finished Yuru Yuri Blu-ray!

Yes, we’re done with the Blu-ray, but we haven’t started working on the Drama CDs. We will do them, but we need a dedicated translator to make it happen. As you know, we’re pretty much not done with Working’!! and Zero no Abusive Relationship F, so the translators are still working on them. Oh and we’re now working on Kuttsukiboshi episode 2. Anyways, this is the last volume of the first season and… well, we made it!

ABOUT EPISODES 11-12:

Episode 11 is a poor attempt to establish a relationship between Yui and Kyouko. Yui fans should realize childhood friends nev– Am I being harsh to the Yui fans? *ahem*KyoxAyaFan*ahem* Episode 12 is… in layman’s term — the gayest episode in the series.

Yuru Yuri BD Vol. 5 is OUT!!!

Hey, we can actually finish this before July! Ten down, two more episodes to go! Episodes 11-12 will be released this week for sure. We already have the encodes and it’s just a matter of syncing the subtitles and tweak some of the typesetting.

CHANGES:

There were no changes in the script and we only improved the script timing and improved some typesetting. We watched the BD versions several times and we didn’t see any changes. But then again, there’s nothing wrong in the anime art and animation-wise.

ABOUT EPISODES 9-10:

For first-time viewers, episode 9 introduces two new characters and episode 10 reminds us that Kyouko x Ayano is the BEST PAIR EVER and Yui and Yui fans should cry themselves to sleep. Again. :3
