Time to update you folks because you kept on asking us.

Kannagi DVD Complete Batch:

• Finished re-encoding episodes 1-2. Episodes 3-4 are currently encoding.
• Re-timing of scripts 1-4 are not finished.
• Episode previews (episode 2-14) encoding and script timing are finished.
• Scripts for the previews are not yet edited.
• ETA hopefully before the end of August.

Candy Boy DVD Complete Batch:

• Re-encoding of episodes EX01, 00-04, Music Videos 1-3 are on hold.
• TLC for all episodes are currently under way.
• EX02 is not yet translated.
• Episode 6 passed TLC, waiting for QC’er approval but video encoding is on hold.
• ETA unknown.

Fight Ippatsu! Juuden-chan 07-08:

• Timing for episode 7 is done.
• Timing for episode 8 is in progress. ETA unknown.
• First pass editing for episode 7 is under way.
• Encode for episode 7 is ready.
• Encode for episode 8 is not ready.

Aoi Hana – Sweet Blue Flowers -:

• Episodes 6 to last are on hold. Will resume after Juuden-chan.

Wait, what’s that? “SHiN-gx_Genjo is finally done with Kannagi DVDs after months of delays?!”

Nope. We’re not done yet. We’re still making the episode previews and updating episodes 1-4! Encoding of the episode previews are currently in the works and the ETA is sometime next week or even more. I know, we’re making you guys wait. We can’t help it, really. We have tons of stuff to do like Juuden-chan, Aoi Hana and Candy Boy. Speaking of Candy Boy, EX02 will be delayed until our TLs can spare enough free time to work on it. Candy Boy batch will be ready as soon as the entire series passed TL, TLC and Re-QC.

ANYWAYS, official batch torrent coming soon and to those who are making their own personal batches, please wait for the episode previews and possible updates on one of the episodes. Yes, we love making revisions. =P

This batch is somewhat special. Aside from the two episodes, the batch includes the Character CD – Nagi Uta in FLAC. The CD was included in DVD Vol. 5. It contains all songs that were featured in episode 10. Not only you get to hear the music in FLAC, we included full translations of the songs for you to read and eventually sing. =P  The translations are in the text file provided.

You wanna hear some bad news? Our new TL for Aoi Hana (yeah, we’re doing that) has retired. To cut the story short, he’s busy with his stuff offline. That’s the way it is and we can’t simply force him to do something that is less important. Translating anime is not important and we respect his decision to leave the group. He didn’t leave doing nothing though. He translated Candy Boy 7 and the episode previews of Kannagi and we thank him for that.

So yeah, we’re still looking for a dedicated J>E or C>E translator for Aoi Hana. We also need a TLC for the show. TLC must know Japanese, of course and has read the Aoi Hana manga. Interested applicants, please leave us a message here. We will reply to you as soon as possible.

Kannagi 14 is OUT!!!

Akiba’s badass moment!

We had a simple question in mind: “Release episode 14 or release it after we’re done with the rest of the DVDs?” After making a ballot, voted and a little heated debate, the groups unanimously decided to jump straight to episode 14. And here it is!

In case you were wondering, this episode is DVD only and was included in Volume 7. What’s the story? Is Tsugumi still devastated after what she saw in episode 13? Did Zange really left for France? Are Akiba and Takako dating? Tune in and find out!!!

There are two lines we’d like to point out:

00:07:30 – “I’ll never let you have a chance to grow hair!” All we know it’s a Japanese pun of some sort and
00:08:55 – “Hanachigu Beam!” It’s the trademark attack move of actor Hanachigu.

By the way, we got an email of someone asking where are the episode previews and this is our reply: “We will translate the episode previews and with too many reasons better left unexplained (usually we’re plain lazy to explain), we will include them in the DVD batch.” “And when is the DVD batch?”, you say? Uh… next month? =) So, please, stop asking the same questions again.

Kannagi 7-8 DVD are OUT!!!

Judging from her face, that’s one very juicy gossip.

Due to unavoidable circumstances, Kannagi 7-8 DVD are late. Our Distro got some IRL stuff to worry first and he wasn’t able to release these episodes last week. He’s still a.f.k. and the staff decided to release the episodes by ourselves. He’ll get a good spanking from me (SHiN) when he gets back, by the way. 😈

Sorry to have kept you waiting, folks. Before anyone asks what’s up with the extra 100MB, we used FLAC instead of AAC so the filesize is bigger than the first 4 DVD rips. From now on, we will use FLAC as audio standard in our Kannagi rips so expect another version (bloated version) out of episodes 1-4.

Kannagi batch torrents are OUT!!!

I was supposed to write a tear-jerking speech here but I decided not to. =) To make up for it, I’ll just say some thanks to those who helped us finish Kannagi – Crazy Shrine Maidens. On behalf of SHiN-gx Fansubs, we thank Shinsen-Raws for their high quality raws. The users of Animesuki for their useful stuff on audio & video encoding. The folks over at Genjo-Subs for their huge support and letting us join their team to fansub Kannagi. And last but not the least, we, including Genjo-Subs give a very big thanks to the viewers for waiting and sticking with us till the end and we hope you enjoyed watching Kannagi as much as we enjoyed fansubbing it!

The MKV batch torrent contains version 2s of episodes 12 and 13. We fixed some minor script errors on both episodes and re-timed the ending karaoke of episode 13. The batch also includes episode 10 softsub karaoke version. The softsub karaoke version only have the opening and ending karaoke and the insert songs are left untranslated. If you really want to see the translation of these songs, just play the hardsubbed karaoke version included in the batch so that each episode version is useful in a way. =P

The AVI batch torrent contains version 2 of episode 12 and the missing episode 1 by SHiN-gx_Genjo.

Notice we renamed the file names in these torrents. Reason is that we’re limiting the names with less than 100 symbols so that the names will not be truncated if you burn them into a DVD.

Kannagi 13 Final Episode IS OUT!!!

Oh, you! We knew this right from the start!

After months of semi-intentional delays, distractions, laziness, aching fingers and the general “I got something else to do,” (usually these are pointed at me, SHiN), Kannagi: Crazy Shrine Maidens, SHiN-gx_Genjo’s joint project is finally complete!

Whoa, this one took a long time to finish and again, we apologize to the folks who waited this long to see our version of Kannagi. We did everything we could to bring you fansubs in the acceptable level of quality and competitive to the far more experienced groups as possible. Speaking of “competition”, we are not actually competing against the other groups. We see Kannagi as an enjoyable and fun show and we wanted you to see it through our subs. It’s not like “Oh, Kannagi is popular, let’s sub it so that we can drown ourselves in the a pool of attention. Or for the E-peen.” We did it because we love it. We sub shows that we like so that other people will understand why we like it and hopefully like the show as well.

Well, we hope you’ll enjoy the next show we do as much as we (hopefully) do.  =)

PS: I never had the chance to introduce myself so I’ll do it now. I’m Endersgame and I do Editing/QC so if you see me on the IRC hit me up and say hi!

SHiN here. I kinda maxed out the AVC settings so downloaders of the MKV version will experience slowdowns in the rolling credits with the karaoke on. To fix this, you need a hi-end PC or simply turn off the subtitles. Sorry about that. =.=
