Shoujo Sect 2 OUT!!! And some stuff.

June 25, 2015

Here’s our current situation: Episodes 9 up of Kannagi weren’t translated by Kaizer because he’s having his vacation and won’t be back in a few days, so Kannagi will be delayed… more… “More delay?” Yep. =) The good news is that he translated episode 8 and also translated episode 2 of Shoujo Sect before he boarded the plane. We prioritized Shoujo Sect over Kannagi and as you can see, the episode’s out.

Before anybody asks “what’s up with the long delay on Shoujo Sect 2?”, the answer is very quite simple: We don’t have a dedicated translator back then. During the joint with Genjo-Subs, we kinda stole… uh… borrowed Kaizer and told him to TL Shoujo Sect. He didn’t do it right away because Kannagi was our top priority. After he did translate it, the release took longer still because the main editor for Shoujo Sect, Adam, was missing, uh… busy from his work and Kannagi too. With limited resources SHiN-gx & Genjo-Subs has, we can manage only one episode per week.

Now that’s settled, here is Shoujo Sect 2 with the same flavor we gave you in episode 1! But wait a minute! What’s that? “When’s episode 3?”, you say? To give you a deadline, it’ll be out next year. 😛 Hey, it’s the holidays! We need a vacation too, y’know!

Back to the episode! What can we say? Shoujo Sect 2 packs two punches! Yuri and Teacher-Student action! The “oomph” of the art and animation dropped a bit but it still looks nice. The story was modified a bit and manga readers might be disappointed. However, this is our suggestion to you: “Watch the show without taking in the manga’s story”. That way, you’ll enjoy more. To those who wants to read the manga and go in depth with the characters, there are many groups doing it but we suggest Dynasty Scans. We have no comment to… uh… the other group name escapes me for the moment, but no matter, we’re not reading that version.

Shoujo Sect ~Innocent Lovers~ 2nd period (h.264+fully softsubbed)

Hello, this is SHiN_aKuMa, the encoder and one of the two founders of SHiN-gx Fansubs. To those who followed that recent disturbance about on some retarded individual who got the nerve to insult us in our lil blog. Well, to be frank, I haven’t really replied to him honestly and to put this to a close, this is my final word:

Stuff Delayed. Again.

August 21, 2012

Whoops! I do apologize for again delaying the batch torrent of Working!! S1. To be honest, I was shamefully distracted because of  *cough*MannvsMachine*cough*. We did manage to release the XviD batch torrent for Kaibutsu Oujo OVA though! The Working!! S1 DVD batch torrent will be delayed for a while. And as for our Yuru Yuri episode 08 status, the episode will be delayed for a while because the TL is busy of something.

.hack Sekai no Mukou ni fansub project!

August 14, 2012

Yep, you heard it right!

We’re going to fansub an anime movie eventually and after hours of debate, we picked .hack Sekai no Mukou ni as our first movie project. Why .hack? Because we like the series. …And a few folks insisted we sub it. Now we’re not going do this alone, so we’re teaming up with .hack experts Twilight Brigade to make sure everything is accurate. We really don’t want to end up using “Light Clerics” and…  *ahem* Right now we haven’t started translating and we’ll begin probably after we’re done with Yuru Yuri. If it interests you, we’ll provide weekly status reports or something.

A bit of warning though — it will take a very long while to finish this project and obviously the other groups are going to release this faster than us. We’re not the only option out there. I wish we were… *ahem*

Anyways, yeah, we’re going to fansub this whether you like it or not!

Kaibutsu Oujo OVA Batch Torrents are OUT!!!

August 5, 2012

The OVA started around September 2010 and that’s almost two years. Two years to complete. The fan subtitles, I mean. But hey, we finished it! The reason for the very long delay is yukachi, Mamiko’s head translator was a victim of human trafficking. It took us a long time to find him and to our surprise he ended up in Japan. After a night of awful food and giving farewell to someone he didn’t know and care, he went back to finish Kaibutsu Oujo. *ahem*

In terms of story line, the OVA can stand on its own, but if you really want to fully appreciate the series, go read the manga or watch the TV series. The TV series is really good. It’s kinda campy, but very good. The OVA contains three self-contained episodes and the art style and the level of violence is closely faithful to the manga.

Before we get to the links, the batch torrents are COMPLETE including the Kerberotte specials. We didn’t separate the specials and they can be found after the credits of each episode. All good? On to the release!

Please check out Mamiko’s site for the DDL.

UPDATE: Re-releasing the MKV torrent. We fixed a story-breaking translation error found in episode 2. Episode 2 will now be marked as [v3].

June 2012 Poll Results

July 31, 2012

The results are in! Now this is a very sensitive poll and we don’t want to be biased of any sort, so instead of writing down the results, we’ll just post a screenshot of the poll. Without further ado, here are the final results!

EDIT: Uh… Whoops. Something went wrong. It appears the image we uploaded is corrupted. We apologize for the technical difficulties. However the results are still legible — 123 of the voters (45%) chose Toshinou Kyouko as the main protagonist of Yuru Yuri, followed by Funami Yui with 16 votes (6%) and Yoshikawa Chinatsu with 6 votes (2%).

The poll is obviously one-sided from the start. Kyouko is clearly the protagonist with her spunky attitude, the driving force of the group, and has more screen time than the rest.

Thank you for participating, folks! See ya in the next poll (after we release episode 5).

Looking for a rare Escaflowne short special

July 28, 2012

I was minding my own business when suddenly I recalled something — I once saw a Vision of Escaflowne TV short a decade ago. If my memory serves me correctly, it’s about Hitomi finding Van on Earth. It was a very short special running around 3-4 minutes and we want it… We want it fansubbed. No, it’s not one of those videos found in the Escaflowne video game for the Playstation. It was more like… damn… My memory of it is very faint. Hitomi was running around and chasing a chibi Van… Goddamn. That’s all I can remember. It was lighthearted and comedic in nature.

If you guys know something about this special or offer clues, please leave us a comment. Right now we’re scanning Share for the special. If we find it, we will fansub it.

UPDATE: I asked a close friend and said it was a manga short. He’s not entirely sure.
