My worst fears have come true and the website is down. There’s a chance of it coming back, as soon as that pesky owner gets back, but for now we’re using our SHiN-gx Fansubs blog for our upcoming projects. Or create a separate wordpress like, I dunno, lazylilyfansubs.wordpress?

Here’s our current situation: Episodes 9 up of Kannagi weren’t translated by Kaizer because he’s having his vacation and won’t be back in a few days, so Kannagi will be delayed… more… “More delay?” Yep. =) The good news is that he translated episode 8 and also translated episode 2 of Shoujo Sect before he boarded the plane. We prioritized Shoujo Sect over Kannagi and as you can see, the episode’s out.
Before anybody asks “what’s up with the long delay on Shoujo Sect 2?”, the answer is very quite simple: We don’t have a dedicated translator back then. During the joint with Genjo-Subs, we kinda stole… uh… borrowed Kaizer and told him to TL Shoujo Sect. He didn’t do it right away because Kannagi was our top priority. After he did translate it, the release took longer still because the main editor for Shoujo Sect, Adam, was missing, uh… busy from his work and Kannagi too. With limited resources SHiN-gx & Genjo-Subs has, we can manage only one episode per week.
Now that’s settled, here is Shoujo Sect 2 with the same flavor we gave you in episode 1! But wait a minute! What’s that? “When’s episode 3?”, you say? To give you a deadline, it’ll be out next year. 😛 Hey, it’s the holidays! We need a vacation too, y’know!
Back to the episode! What can we say? Shoujo Sect 2 packs two punches! Yuri and Teacher-Student action! The “oomph” of the art and animation dropped a bit but it still looks nice. The story was modified a bit and manga readers might be disappointed. However, this is our suggestion to you: “Watch the show without taking in the manga’s story”. That way, you’ll enjoy more. To those who wants to read the manga and go in depth with the characters, there are many groups doing it but we suggest Dynasty Scans. We have no comment to… uh… the other group name escapes me for the moment, but no matter, we’re not reading that version.

Yeah, we’re moving because WordPress is no longer fun. The blog is still standing because I unpublished all 440+ posts. As long as there are no bittorrent links, this blog will live to see another day. SHiN-gx Fansubs is moved to Anirena with the help of Power2All. You can visit the new site now.
Please excuse the mess. I’m not yet done with the spring cleaning. Release posts and stuff will be all there and, uh, update your bookmarks, I guess. We’re considering buying a domain, but not right now. Obviously placing a small donation will, uh, you know, uh… *ahem*

WordPress suspended SHiN-gx Fansubs a while ago because, well, it’s obvious — we violated their Terms of Service. In order for this blog to keep breathing for another few years (until posting cute girls doing cute things is a violation), we removed all DDL and bittorrent links. We will still fansub anime, but we will only post announcements with no links. Where will you download our fansubs from now on? Well, you should know where to find them by now.
It’s very inconvenient, we admit, but it’s the only way to keep this blog from being dead.
Our second option is to move to a new host.

Now that Yuru Yuri is finished, we’re going to shift our attention to its batch torrent release. Correcting translation errors and improving the typesetting is our top priority. We can’t guarantee when we’ll release the batch torrents, so those who are waiting for our XviD version will have to wait for a while.
After the batch torrents, what’s next? Given that everyone has other priorities like school and summer break is over, we don’t think we’re free enough to fully commit ourselves to fansub a new show this season. So yeah, no new projects this season and we’ll focus more on our old shows (Working’!!, Zero no Tsukaima F), and probably resume Full Moon wo Sagashite. However, we may fansub any OVA that is coming in the next few months. If you have an OVA in mind and want us to sub it, please leave us comment in the Fansub Q & A page. There is no guarantee we’ll sub the OVA you want though. We’ll check it out first.
We’re not actually dead. We’ll fansub a TV series next summer. Oh, the .hack movie? It’s still in our radar. We’ll keep you posted.

Whoops! I do apologize for again delaying the batch torrent of Working!! S1. To be honest, I was shamefully distracted because of *cough*MannvsMachine*cough*. We did manage to release the XviD batch torrent for Kaibutsu Oujo OVA though! The Working!! S1 DVD batch torrent will be delayed for a while. And as for our Yuru Yuri episode 08 status, the episode will be delayed for a while because the TL is busy of something.

I do admit I’m not an avid follower of the manga, so I might have missed something important and, if ever, they will only be vaguely mentioned in the anime. I do read the manga… by random chapters.
Anyway, in this scene, Chitose claimed Ayano is “a little shy” and “she usually sits alone at her desk” on their first year. This is very surprising because, in their second year, Ayano is very vocal during her student council activities, and doesn’t even shy away from yelling in a crowded hallway.
What happened? I’ll make a wild guess — TOSHINOU KYOUKO happened. Something happened during Ayano’s first year and Kyouko was the catalyst that influenced Ayano’s shift from a shy girl to a vocal school representative. I do hope this is covered in the manga or at the very least show the back story between the two in the anime.

Yep, you heard it right!
We’re going to fansub an anime movie eventually and after hours of debate, we picked .hack Sekai no Mukou ni as our first movie project. Why .hack? Because we like the series. …And a few folks insisted we sub it. Now we’re not going do this alone, so we’re teaming up with .hack experts Twilight Brigade to make sure everything is accurate. We really don’t want to end up using “Light Clerics” and… *ahem* Right now we haven’t started translating and we’ll begin probably after we’re done with Yuru Yuri. If it interests you, we’ll provide weekly status reports or something.
A bit of warning though — it will take a very long while to finish this project and obviously the other groups are going to release this faster than us. We’re not the only option out there. I wish we were… *ahem*
Anyways, yeah, we’re going to fansub this whether you like it or not!
