Yep, you heard it right!
We’re going to fansub an anime movie eventually and after hours of debate, we picked .hack Sekai no Mukou ni as our first movie project. Why .hack? Because we like the series. …And a few folks insisted we sub it. Now we’re not going do this alone, so we’re teaming up with .hack experts Twilight Brigade to make sure everything is accurate. We really don’t want to end up using “Light Clerics” and… *ahem* Right now we haven’t started translating and we’ll begin probably after we’re done with Yuru Yuri. If it interests you, we’ll provide weekly status reports or something.
A bit of warning though — it will take a very long while to finish this project and obviously the other groups are going to release this faster than us. We’re not the only option out there. I wish we were… *ahem*
Anyways, yeah, we’re going to fansub this whether you like it or not!

The OVA started around September 2010 and that’s almost two years. Two years to complete. The fan subtitles, I mean. But hey, we finished it! The reason for the very long delay is yukachi, Mamiko’s head translator was a victim of human trafficking. It took us a long time to find him and to our surprise he ended up in Japan. After a night of awful food and giving farewell to someone he didn’t know and care, he went back to finish Kaibutsu Oujo. *ahem*
In terms of story line, the OVA can stand on its own, but if you really want to fully appreciate the series, go read the manga or watch the TV series. The TV series is really good. It’s kinda campy, but very good. The OVA contains three self-contained episodes and the art style and the level of violence is closely faithful to the manga.
Before we get to the links, the batch torrents are COMPLETE including the Kerberotte specials. We didn’t separate the specials and they can be found after the credits of each episode. All good? On to the release!

At long last we finally finished Kaibutsu Oujo OVA!
Actually Mamiko finished the script a few weeks ago and the reason why we released this now is the SHiN-gx staff are prioritizing Yuru Yuri Season 2. *ahem* For those who didn’t know (or forgot), this is a joint project between Mamiko Subs and SHiN-gx Fansubs. The production of the script took a while because yukachi, Mamiko’s translator, was busy making a living.
Episode 03 — Princess Island. Hime and the gang are in search for their missing companions, and the clues led them to a mysterious island. Is this a trap set up by unknown forces? Or they’re on the island to spend some quality time (like, you know, hot springs, swim suits and, uh… smashing watermelons)?

Hello guys, my own little pet project is finally ready! Well… halfway at least. This is the OVA for the third game in the Valkyria Chronicles franchise. It was important to me to sub this because I feel there are next to no quality subs for it out there. Also, I know this isn’t really in line with SHiN-gx’s ‘style’, but I hope you’ll all enjoy!
As well, with this release, I would like to draw some attention to the guys running the Gallian Liberation Front who are spear-heading the push for this great game to be localized to North America (and beyond maybe). Please support them in any way possible!

If only the anime actually applied shading…
Kuttsukiboshi started around August 2010 and before that, we get treated to promising teaser trailers and a story that got the yuri fans excited. Us including. It was, to us at least, one of the most anticipated OVA back then. Another special thing about this OVA is it was all done by one person — Naoya Ishikawa. We will not further go into details of the story or anything else because we might spoil the new viewers.
If we want to say something on one aspect of the OVA, it’d be its production. It’s understandable the quality of the art and animation are somewhat poor given this is a one-man job, but we believe Naoya Ishikawa didn’t put extra heart into his work. Why we say this is the second episode two’s art and animation quality didn’t improve much after a year plus it was kept in the dark. Or he already produced both episodes together and just decided to delay the second episode just to see the reaction of the viewers.
Also if any of you argue about how the story progressed and ended, we’ll just use our “it’s anime” trap card — It’s anime. Shit happens. End of argument! Damn, we’re good.
Anyways, Kuttsukiboshi is, to be honest, a good watch. We love it. Only recommendable to a certain crowd, though.

Nearly a two-year wait… Kuttsukiboshi episode 02 is finally English fansubbed! Actually it was subbed a few weeks ago, so… Anyways, here is our fansubbed version of episode 02!
Episode 02 is the final episode of Kuttsukiboshi and not to give anything away, the ending is… how do you say it… is out of this world. Did Aya and Kii-chan reconciled? Did the world end? Tune in and find out! We will hold off personal opinions about the conclusion and the show in general. We’ll save it for later.
Before we get to the links, this was translated by 10sigh_baka, the same lovely gal who translated the first Kuttsukiboshi, the Railgun OVA, Reo x Mai Diaries, and Sono Hanabira OVA. Unfortunately Kuttsukiboshi episode 02 will be her final translation work for SHiN-gx Fansubs. This is her… what you call it? Her last hoorah. We hope you’ll enjoy this release! Whoa… That was a tiresome week. This was suppose to be released last week, but due to uh, hmmm, certain unavoidable circumstances, we had to delay this. It still doesn’t matter, right?
Episode 07 finally brought the story back up again and, uh, I dunno. The episode is still your typical Zero no Tsukaima episode. Anyways, before we get to the links, I’d like to point out that Kuttuskiboshi OVA 2 is 99% complete and chances are we’ll release the polished version this weekend. Cross your fingers, I guess. The guys are still pretty busy at school.
