Sasameki Koto 13 is OUT!!!

It’s… done…! At last… It’s done…! ;_; Words cannot describe how happy we are. Surge of emotions, blood and tears were shed… Goddammit, world, we just finished Sasameki Koto! Oh, yeah, not counting the exact day, October 2011 marks the anime’s 2nd year anniversary. Two years… *ahem* Batch torrents soon.
P.S. We weren’t paid by the phone company.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
We highly recommend this to everyone who enjoys slice of life and cute girls essentially doing cute things. The pacing of the first few episodes may be sluggish to some, but once you get past it, though, you’d be surprised how well thought out Sasameki Koto is. It’s filled with richly developed characters and relationships, and it’s staying true to its source material. Charm is not all about lesbian romance and toilet humor, I tell you.
Let’s not wait any longer! On to the final episode!

Sasameki Koto – on HOLD – Need TLC

In case you didn’t know, our TLC’er for Sasameki Koto left. I doubt she’ll return because she never replied to our emails. Maybe she found her true calling or something. Can’t blame her for picking the path she chooses. Good for her but that left us a problem – Sasameki Koto has no TLC’er.
I posted a Homu-sandwich image to get your attention, so here goes: We need a TLC’er for Sasameki Koto episodes 10-13. Obviously we won’t release the remaining episodes until we’re sure the scripts are okay to release. So far we edited episodes 10-11. Requirements? You know Japanese and English. Being a fan of the manga/anime helps too.

Sasameki Koto 1-4v2 are OUT!!!

Yep, we’re now resuming Sasameki Koto. Just like our Juuden-chan!! DVD, we release Sasameki Koto in batches. The first batch contains episodes 1-4 version 2s. Version 2 has updated video encode, smaller file size, AAC audio, modified typesetting, translation and editing.
To those who are unfamiliar with Sasameki Koto or Whispered Words – The series, which is set in a co-ed high school, is about Sumika Murasame, a 15-year-old girl who is secretly in love with her female best friend, Ushio Kazama. Ushio likes girls too, but is only into “cute” and “small” girls, while Sumika is tall, good at sports, and outgoing rather than shy.
Yep, another yuri series. Isn’t it great?! =D In my opinion, the series is a slow starter so be patient, give it a few episodes and we guarantee everything will pick up nice and smoothly.
Before we get to the links, we would like to introduce you to our new translator rinrin-chan! She did the TLC of Sasameki Koto and she’s gonna translate a new show this Spring!

Click each of these screenshots here, here, here, here, and here, and tell me what’s the first thing you noticed. No? Found nothing? Take a closer look. Noticed a similarity? Yep, you got it! And this brings me to this question: Shall we enforce the idea of using one dedicated font for the dialogue on every show we’re going to make in the future instead of assigning different fonts for every show?
The font I favored so far is Headache.ttf. It’s not too thin, not too flashy and has a personality that can blend in on any show. Why am I asking you? I want to know your reaction first before actually enforcing it and it’s a sort of a way to prevent a possible critical decision blunder. =)
Oh and, this is just a hypothetical question so don’t take this very seriously. What if we redo (typesetting, translation and encode) Shoujo Sect ~Innocent Lovers~?

P.S.
We’ve been criticized recently regarding the quality of our recent DVD encodes saying there are lots of haloing and other unspeakable artifacts so I’m gonna make my statement now. I’m not an encode-fu master so I’m sorry for any errors I’ve made. I will improve but not overtime though. Regarding me leaving those artifacts behind, before I encode, I ask myself this question: “Remove all those artifacts by blurring the hell out of the video and kill some details or reduce/minimize the artifacts while retaining a crisp video and preserving some details and accept the fact that there’s no perfect way to get rid of them?” If you got a better option, please do tell me.
With that said, there will be a version 2 of Aki Sora – Yume no Naka episode 1 and redoing Sasameki Koto DVD encodes. Episodes 1-4v2, 5-8 this January… hopefully. And… De geso~!
